The lack of rowing competitions has left a huge gap in the lives of so many people. Not only competitors, but coaches, volunteers, supporters, and US!
A "normal" summer for Rock the Boat would have had us travelling to rowing events most weekends throughout the summer. But this year has been far from normal. Although some have taken to shopping online with us, we've missed being out and about and seeing you on the riverbank.
We are therefore delighted to be supporting Newcastle University Boat Club in running the Tyne Single Scullers Head on Sunday 20th September 2020. The event has been nominated by British Rowing as a test event as part of the Return to Competition.
Rock the Boat won't have a stand at the event as the time isn't quite right for that yet, but competitors and volunteers have been sent a special offer to thank them for supporting the event.
We really hope that the day goes well and that it is the first of many events to come.
