Indoor Rowing Season Is Here!

James Lee

The 2019 indoor rowing season is upon us with rowers across the country preparing to take to the "grey" machine to test themselves, or simply for "fun"!

This year's University Indoor Rowing Series features 10 events which started the the British Rowing 1st Assessment last weekend. The series then includes events hosted by Universities across the country during November.

The series will conclude with the Scottish Indoor Rowing Championships and the Welsh Indoor Rowing Championships which both take place on the 23rd November. Wales will also host the Welsh Schools Indoor Rowing Championships on Friday 22nd November at Channel View Centre, Cardiff.

(The English Indoor Rowing Championships takes place in February each year and is scheduled for 2 February 2020 at the Manchester National Cycle Centre).

The British Rowing Indoor Championships takes place on Saturday 7 December 2019 at the Lee Valley VeloPark. This year sees an updated approach to BRIC’s adaptive indoor rowing events, with the introduction of both four and one minute events for each adaptive category. BRIC 2019 also brings the addition of IR1 and IR3 (Invictus Rowing) categories, creating a more inclusive event for Invictus indoor rowers.

We have a range of gifts available for indoor rowers including the popular "Ergo, Ergoing, Ergone" design which is available on a performance t-shirt, a mug, a car sticker and a tea-towel.

Useful items for "Test Day" include seat pads and our unisex shorts (reduced to clear!).

Good luck wherever you are racing!
